The Silk Road Slippers Writing Retreat is held in a beautiful Queen Anne mansion in a village on the banks of the River Avon for five days of writing and working together as an intimate group.

This is a Retreat designed to develop your writing craft in a peaceful, supportive environment. It is for you to make time for yourself, to escape the pressures and obligations of daily life in an inspiring location where you don’t have to think about anything but writing.

We start every day together with a shot of inspiration responding to a writing prompt. There will be group sessions on two mornings during which we discuss your work and look at other authors’ techniques. We also offer two private one-to-one sessions to each participant with in-depth feedback on your writing and a holistic view of your project.

Afternoons are kept free for you to focus completely on your writing in one of the four elegant reception rooms or, weather permitting, in the charming gardens. In the evenings, our writing community gathers around the dining table for a delicious meal.
