Kamila Shamsie: Best of Friends

Kamila Shamsie, Women’s Prize winning author of Home Fire, joined us to discuss her wonderful new novel, Best of Friends. She told us of the genesis of the book, she described her writing process, and we all talked about female friendship - its joys and its complexities. Alexandra, her editor for nearly thirty years, described their meeting when Kamila was still a student and talked of their own long and rewarding friendship.
