Saghar Setareh: Pomegranates & Artichokes

On Tuesday 26th September we will be hosting Iranian food writer and photographer Saghar Setareh at our Book Club, talking about her wonderful cookery book Pomegranates & Artichokes: Recipes and memories of a journey from Iran to Italy.  

At the age of 22 Saghar moved from Iran to Italy and was enchanted by the rich food culture of her adopted country. She became curious about the cuisine of her lost homeland and those countries around it, from the Gulf to the Mediterranean, finding that ingredients and recipes – unconstrained by borders – are shared, enriched and transformed through the immigrant experience.

The result is a gorgeous book that is the story of Saghar’s culinary travels from Iran to Italy, and the places in between.  We look forward to joining her on her fascinating journey.  Come too!
