The vibrant colours and patterns of Palestinian embroidery practiced by women over centuries is at the heart of Palestinian culture today. Once a traditional craft practiced by village women, embroidery has become a powerful symbol of Palestinian heritage and history, for many a familiar reminder of the days of their grandparents or great grandparents. This cushion cover is made in the traditional cross-stitch, ‘fallahi (farmers’) embroidery, the most famous of all Palestinian embroidery techniques, taking its name because it was the craft of village women from the south and through the central region of historic Palestine.

This beautiful cushion cover is embroidered red on black with blue and yellow highlights, backed with black cotton. It will add something very special to any home.

Dimensions: 41 x 41 cm
