A stunning vintage Phulkari cushion cover hand-embroidered in silk floss on hand-spun, handwoven cotton plainweave. Phulkari means ‘flower work’ and the vibrant colours of pink, purple, yellow and green have a joyful modernity reminiscent of Matisse.

This cushion cover originates from the Swat Valley in West Punjab and dates to pre-Partition.

A work of art, it is in excellent condition with a plain, new cotton backing.

Cushion padding not included.
