The art of chikankari embroidery came to India from Persia during Mughal rule, some sources credit empress Noor Jahan for introducing it in the 17th century. Famed for the intricacy of the stitch, chikankari remains a sought-after decorative art.

We have white cotton kurtas with a delicate self print, hand embroidered with a traditional white-on-white chikankari design, perfect to throw over a swimming costume or wear over jeans for some modern Mughal chic.
